The Vice Chancellor, University of Mianwali, Professor Dr. Nadeem Sheikh, held an important meeting with the Secretary, Higher Education Department (HED), Government of Punjab, to discuss key matters related to the promotion and improvement of higher education in the Mianwali region.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on enhancing the quality of education, introducing modern and market-driven academic programs, strengthening faculty development initiatives, and improving research facilities for students and faculty members. Emphasis was also placed on fostering university–industry linkages to ensure better employability of graduates, promoting a strong research culture, and expanding scholarship opportunities to support deserving students.
The Vice Chancellor highlighted the University of Mianwali’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and inclusive growth, and reaffirmed the university’s role in contributing positively to regional and national development. The Secretary HED appreciated the initiatives taken by the university and assured continued support for strengthening higher education in the region.
