An important meeting regarding the University of Mianwali was held on Monday, 26 January, at the Chief Minister’s Office, Lahore. The meeting was attended by Vice Chancellor University of Mianwali Professor Dr. Nadeem Sheikh, Member Provincial Assembly Mr. Ali Haider Noor Khan, Additional Secretary Ms. Zahida Azhar, and Registrar University of Mianwali Dr. Abdul Majid Khan Rana.
During the meeting, Secretary Coordination Mr. Syed Wajid Ali Shah was briefed in detail on matters related to the University of Mianwali. Following the briefing, Mr. Ali Haider Noor Khan, who was leading the initiative, held a meeting with Chief Minister Punjab Ms. Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
After the meeting with the Chief Minister, Mr. Ali Haider Noor Khan shared positive developments for the University of Mianwali. These included decisions regarding the establishment of the Piplan Sub-Campus, preparation and early approval of the PC-I for the new campus, and the immediate launch of new academic institutions.
The meeting approved the immediate launch of the following disciplines:
1. Institute of Agricultural Sciences
2. Department of Pharmacy
3. Law College
