A meeting of the Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) was held on 04-03-2026 at the University of Mianwali. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Nadeem Sheikh.
The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran. In his opening remarks, Prof. Dr. Nadeem Sheikh expressed his firm resolve that every possible effort would be made to strengthen the institution. He emphasized that the objective is to improve academic standards and uplift the Quality of research and enable the students to win competitive scholarships nationally and internationally.
The Registrar of the University of Mianwali, Rana Abdul Majeed Khan, also participated in the meeting.
During the session, M. Phil students’ synopses were reviewed individually, and constructive academic guidance was provided to ensure quality research standards. The Board approved the synopses of the M. Phil research students of Departments of Botany, Zoology, and English.
This M. Phil batch is the pioneer batch of the University of Mianwali. The thesis format was formally approved to ensure uniformity and high academic standards in future research submissions and presentation.
This development marks a significant milestone in the academic history of the University of Mianwali. The initiative will promote M. Phil and PhD. education in the region, making higher education more accessible and contributing significantly to regional development.
