GRAPHICS AND MEDIA SOCIETY
The establishment of Graphics & Media Society (GMS) in university is the most important need of the day so that the students can learn new skills with passage of time. GMS understands the vision of University of Mianwali and aims to promote the university at the national and international levels. GMS is not just a society, it is an ‘organization’, and we have Freelancers in our society who are working on different niches i.e. Video editing, Photoshop, Illustration and animations. They will guide new students in the university where the students will come together, invest their knowledge and skills, and earn projects in the form of return. The organization also plans to develop and enhance the skills of the students that are needed to start a freelance account. Our motive is to ensure students don’t just graduate with a degree, but have a skill by their side that can be utilized as well. We, at GMS, want to create an environment where all the students can learn from one another and build a healthy working environment.
OBJECTIVES
1.Introduce the role of the media in social, cultural, political and economic life.
2. Provide students with an opportunity to develop life skills, which will enable them to analyze the forms of modern communication.
3. Promote the image of UMW locally, nationaly and internationaly by using different media channels.
4. Provide the students with the opportunities to express and develop their ideas and talents through the media, technology, and communication.
