The Blood Donation Society carried out several important activities to raise awareness and collect blood donations. These included a Thalassemia Day Awareness Walk, an Annual Blood Donation Camp where more than 60 bottles of blood were collected, and an Information Desk to guide new students.The society also expanded its efforts by visiting different colleges in Mianwali to spread awareness. In addition, it organized a special awareness session on campus, where the Medical Superintendent was invited as the chief guest. All these activities played a big role in promoting the importance of voluntary blood donation.The Blood Donation Society successfully executed a series of impactful initiatives aimed at raising awareness about blood donation and encouraging voluntary participation.
One of the major highlights was the Thalassemia Day Awareness Walk, where students, faculty, and volunteers came together to emphasize the importance of regular blood donation for thalassemia patients. The walk helped spread awareness on campus and encouraged many to step forward as potential donors.
Another significant achievement was the Annual Blood Donation Camp, which turned out to be highly successful, collecting over 60 bottles of blood. The camp was organized in collaboration with medical professionals who ensured proper screening, donor safety, and smooth management of the entire process. This camp not only met immediate needs but also strengthened the culture of volunteerism among students.To further engage the new batch, an Information Desk for fresher students was set up. Volunteers guided newcomers about the importance of blood donation, eligibility criteria, and how they could join the society. This initiative greatly enhanced students’ understanding and increased volunteer registrations.Expanding its outreach beyond the university, the society conducted an awareness tour to multiple colleges in Mianwali. During these visits, the team interacted with students, delivered informative sessions, and motivated them to take part in future blood donation drives.
