Brain Awareness Week 2024
Brain Awareness Week is the global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. Every March, participants host imaginative activities in their communities that share the wonders of the brain, and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives.
On account of the “Brain Awareness Week 2024” funded by Dana Foundation, Department of Biotechnology, University of Mianwali planned to organize various activities to enhance the awareness related to the neuroscience research and to motivate the high school, college and university students to take care of their mental health, engage in neuroscience research and make the society a better and mentally peaceful place to live in.
Brain Awareness Week 2024: 20-24 May, 2024.
Day 1 (20-05-24): An interactive session with postgraduate students related to the importance of the brain science in our daily life and why we should take care of our mental health.
Day 2 (21-05-24): An awareness session for high school and college students related to the stress, anxiety and aggression in teenagers and how to cope with these problems.
Day 3 (22-05-24): Awareness session for females to highlight the mental health issues. Mental health problems such as depression and stress are rising among the working and non-working females and therefore, it is difficult to maintain the work-life balance. So, it is essential to address these issues and find ways to meet these challenges.
Day 4 (23-05-24): A movie session (Finding Nemo) for the undergrad students to understand the impact of neurological disorders on their daily life.
Day 5 (24-05-24): Brain awareness seminar for the university students and faculty to understand the scientific advancement in the field of neuroscience and how brain research is improving the life of people suffering from the neurological disorders.
