The Data Center was officially inaugurated on January 26, 2022, by Vice Chancellor Dr. Islam Ullah Khan Lodhi. The event was attended by all of the department heads and students from the Computer Science department. The event began with a beautiful Quran recital and Naat Kareem. Following that, the Vice Chancellor addressed the attendees of the event, emphasising that technology is critical for the expansion of the education sector, and that the construction of the Data Center is a significant addition to the university’s assets.
Data Center is established by the Directorate of Information Technology (DIT) which is responsible for providing IT facilities and infrastructure for all the academic and administrative offices. Mr. Shaffan Khaliq Bhatti, the current Focal Person of DIT, and his team members spearheaded the idea.
