UMW Blood Donation society has organized a seminar As Per Directives Of HEC in collaboration with Jehaad For Zero Thalassemia regarding awareness of thalassemia in order to educate the masses about the seriousness of this genetic disease. E.g. Thalassemia can be stopped by taking few precautionary steps like getting yourself tested before marrying.
Moreover Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Islam Ullah khan accosted his students’motivated them regarding blood donation,made them aware about this pathetic and fatal disease and advised them to spread the message in order to aware and save lives.
Chairman UMW Societies and Clubs Muhammad Irfan Khan, Chief Coordinator UMW BDS Zaigham Raza Khan and members of different blood donation organizations also attended the seminar along with representatives of DHQ Mianwali. During this session President UMW, BDS briefed them about facilitations and made efforts by UMW,BDS for thalassemia victims up till now and their future plans for coming months.
