It was a cool sunny morning, welcoming the spring and it was time for the UMW annual sports competition on 16th March 2022. All of the scholars were getting warmed up and getting ready for the games. UMW has many potential, energetic, enthusiastic and disciplined students who are very good in sports. At the inaugural ceremony, the entrance and the surroundings of the grounds were decorated with the colored banners and with flags of different size. Different colored balloons were released in the air, which constituted a fascinating sight. The Chief Guest worthy Vice Chancellor, University of Mainwali Prof. Dr. Islam Ullah Khan inaugurated the Opening Ceremony and addressed the role of sports in student life. Vice chancellor, University of Mianwali appreciated the efforts made by the UMW Sports Office to make the event successful and hoped that this exercise would continue so that the students might get more chances and could reflect physical and mental fitness in their practical lives All the 16 departments participated and March Past in the Opening ceremony. All the Students started to compete with each other and the battle of winning and losing was set up. All departments participated in different games including Cricket, Volleyball, Football, Tug of War, Badminton, Table Tennis, Javelin Throw, Shot Put, Long Jump and Races.
